Pont News

Our sympathy goes to the Anderson Family. Fred Anderson passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018. A memorial service was held here at Pontoppidan on Thursday, January 25.

Today’s radio broadcast is in memory of Sarah Isaacson Puppe and Agnes Berge given by Dave & Marilyn Isaascson.

Dear Friends, thank you for making my last day of ministry at Pontoppidan very special. We worshiped, we sang and prayed, we saw young men baptized and a young couple share their marriage vows. The retirement program was emotional for me, with the highlights of the video, and the quilt, and Jessica singing “Friends.” The party was a deeply appreciated time of eating carrot cake and sharing memories and committing to remaining friends. Thank you for the cards, which took me over two weeks to get through, because they reminded me of so many shared stories through the years. “Godspeed” is an expression of good wishes to a person starting a journey. We all restart our journeys many times in the course of our lifetimes. So, in that spirit, Godspeed, good friends. God bless you all. – Pastor Doug and Family
