Prayer Concerns: our thoughts and prayers are with Sharon Berg, Agnes (Marilyn Isaacson’s sister) and Barb (Gay Seelig’s sisters.)

Sympathy to Dave and Debbie Grant and family. Dave’s father, Erik Grant, passed away August 3. A memorial service was held Saturday, Aug 12 at Armstrong Funeral Home in Lisbon.

Kay York died July 29. The memorial service will be Sept 23 at 10 AM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo.

Today’s Radio Broadcast is in memory of Betty Thorp from friends & family.

Pontoppidan’s Annual Bike Trip is Saturday, August 12. Ride bike from Park Rapids to Dorset. Starting point is in Heartland Park in Park Rapids, just north of Hwy 234 on Mill Street. Anyone that is interested in joining should meet at 11:00 AM in Heartland Park.

Please join Churches United for the Homeless at its Annual Community Picnic this year…all ages welcome and free of charge! Tuesday, August 15, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Gooseberry Park’s large shelter. Bounce houses, great food, door prizes, and fun music are featured. Reconstruction and Water Main Replacement projects have started downtown. 4th Ave N will be closed east of the 4th Street N intersection through 3rd St N. At this time we will only have access to the church parking lot driveway on 3rd St. The 2nd phase will have 3rd St N closed north of 4th Ave. N to the railroad tracks. At this time we will only have access to the 4th Ave. driveway by way of 2nd St.

Churches United for the Homeless invites you to view a free advance screening of a new PBS documentary on housing and homelessness .The screening will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead on Thursday, July 27th from 5:30-7:30. Pizza will be served.
The film uses Minneapolis-St. Paul as a lens through which to view the national affordable housing crisis. There will also be a chance for dialogue on affordable housing issues in our region.
